Are you an electronics hobbyist?  Do you salivate for solider or lust for LEDs?  Then Apliu Street is a treat in store for you indeed.  Not only are there an amazing number of small shops and stalls selling interesting items from screws to cables to fittings, but there are three shops dedicated to electronic parts shopping.

Welfare Electronic Company Limited, or WECL as it is known to the electronic hobbyists of Hong Kong, is one of the three major outlets in our street.  Situated on the ground and 1st floor of Ming Chu Building at number 201 Apliu Street you will find WECL open until 8PM ever day to cater for those who shop after leaving their offices.

Opening Hours are 10:30 AM until 8:00 PM in the evenings Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday and Public Holidays it doesn't open until Lunch time at 12:30, but still stays open until 8:00 PM.

They can also be found online at https://www.weclonline.com but while there is a listing of products this is not an online shop, you cannot purchase via their web site.

H. K. Wing Shing Electronic Co is another choice located at G/F, 174 Apliu Street, while the third major electronic hobby shop is also nearby and is called Pak Lik Electronics Co, find them at 210 Apliu Street.  Pak Lik is an authorized HAKKO dealer.
